Meet the Team


Dr Louise Randall 

Founder and trustee of GRIT.  Having suffered with an eating disorder during her teenage years, which resulted in several admissions to child and adolescent psychiatric units, Louise was exposed to the culture of self harm (see link to blog post) and knows first hand the long term consequences of this and is determined to challenge the availability of this as well as set up the GRIT program.


Dr Claire Powell

Founder and trustee of GRIT. Dr Powell has recently retired from General Practice and is lending her vast experience as a GP, mediator and previous chair of the Hitchin NSPCC branch to GRIT. 


Dr Pauline Gleeson

Founder and trustee of GRIT. Dr Gleeson is responsible for overseeing the medical aspect of the program and leading the research team. Using her experience as a GP she will be undertaking all medical and risk assessments to ensure that each student is suitable for the program.


Charlotte Fletcher

Founder and trustee of GRIT. Using her experience in working for charities Charlotte has been instrumental in setting up GRIT as a charity and is responsible for overseeing the fundraising aspect.


Jodie Chillery

Founder of GRIT and film maker – Jodie is responsible for documenting the progress of GRIT through video to raise awareness of the issues that GRIT is addressing. The film will also take a leading role in the campaign to address the negative impact on young people of various internet sites.
